Kate Cuthbert is a Canadian living in the land of Aus(tralia). She has lived on three continents, racked up student debts on two, finished two degrees, swam with dolphins, had 3 concussions, and drunk a Masse Bier. She reads way more than is good for her, worships her dogs, and co-runs a reading group for lovers of romance fiction in Brisbane. She likes thunderstorms, hot showers, cold swimming pools, watermelon but not watermelon flavouring, wearing lipstick, dancing, singing, driving too fast, the smell of book stores, ice hockey goalies, the sound car tires make in underground parking lots, cooking, baking, not doing the dishes, travelling, angry music, castles, stories with happy endings, people who cry on TV, semi-colons, cobblestones, and Hallowee'en. She doesn't like drivers who don't acknowledge when you let them in, beetroot, liver, racism, sexism, ageism, homophobia, xenophobia, McDonalds, spiders, indecision, being called ma'am, reality television, impoliteness, the colour purple, and txt spk.

What I'm a sucker for in a book: Alphas in Beta clothing, teacher/instructor heros, characters who argue with each other, villain-heroes, and best-friend-turning-into-something-more romances.
What I don't particularly care for in a book: American historicals and previously-married-characters-getting-back-together romances.
What drives me absolutely nuts in a book: Surprise werewolves, secret babies, vampires with French accents, meek heroines, TSTL characters, and weak or ineffectual villains.
