| I can't actually remember which of their books have epilogues, but I'd recommend Loretta Chase, Lisa Kleypas, and Laura Kinsale. I know at least some of their books do have epilogues. |

Have you tried Tessa Dare? I have been meaning to check out some of her books because my reading twin loves her. I have also heard a ton of good things about her books from other sources. _________________ She is too fond of books, and it has turned her brain. -Louisa May Alcott |

If you also read Traditional Regencies, here are more suggestions:

The Missing Matchmaker by Holbrook, Cindy
A Rake's Reform by Holbrook, Cindy
The Actress & the Marquis by Holbrook, Cindy

| Check out Tessa Dare's A Week to be Wicked. Witty dialog, likable characters, very enjoyable. |

The Vicar's Daughter by Deborah Simmons
Bewitching by Jill Barnett
Both, I think are funny. Not sure about the epilogues. _________________ "As you wish"

Lots of good suggestions here! You don't mention Amanda Quick (a couple of hers have been recommended in other posts).
The Lavinia Lake/Tobias March series is 3 books, and is a continuing story, yet the mysteries/adventures are self-contained within each book:
Slightly Shady
Don't Look Back
Late for the Wedding
Another suggestion is "Lord and Lady Spy" by Shana Galen. It is a stand-alone.
One of my favorite Amanda Quick novels is "Affair," which is also a stand-alone.
Anything by Julia Quinn. Visit her website and see what appeals. A number of her books are in series, but most are OK as standalone. One I particularly laughed over was "What Happens in London."
There was a thread on witty historicals a while back:

Have fun!

Just to add one more...I really loved The Other Guy's Bride by Connie Brockway, and if you haven't read the previous book...My Dearest Enemy by Brockway. _________________ "As you wish"

1. Jennifer Ashley's Pirate Next Door was funny, especially when Grayson reads her list of prospective suitors.
2. Julia Quinn's What Happens in London had me smiling a lot, with some laugh out loud moments.
3. I second Deborah Simmon's Vicar's Daughter
4. Elizabeth Boyle's No Marriage of Convenience has Mason, a new earl with new wards hiring Madame Fontaine to teach his wards to attract suitors.
5. Eloisa James' When Beauty Tamed the Beast had good bantering between the H and h.
6. Connie Brockway's The Other Guys Bride also had bantering that cracked me up.
7. I agree with the recs for Tessa Dare's new one, A Week to be Wicked, especially the first half of it.
8. Katie MacAlister's Noble Intentions
9. Lastly, Amanda Quick's Mistress had some fun humor, especially when they go to a house party so Iphenia can see the Temple of Vesta and Marcus breaks a rule. |

Thanks to all of you for your help! I picked these – great variety can’t wait.
A Week to be Wicked
Duel of Hearts
The Kissing Game
No Marriage of Convenience
Pirate Next Door
The Vicar's Daughter not on the kindle yet
Saving all the Amanda Quick books for my audible listens – I didn’t realize she had so many!
Xina loved your suggestions – I agree great books I read them already
Mark – most of the regencies are not on the kindle –wish they were
Julia Quinn is always good for fun! _________________ I love happy endings |
