I'm actually taking that as a good sign that ABC has some faith in the series and didn't want it to get lost in the shuffle during premiere week. Probably wishful thinking on my part, but still |

Wow! This really does look interesting. I have a lot of Sunday shows that I watch regularly, too, but there's always the DVR! Thanks for sharing the trailer. _________________ So many books; so little time!

Really enjoyed the firs episode and liked the set up. I am not wild about the flashbacks but I think that is an Abrams thing and I better get used to it.
I tend to like a story told in one continuous time stream.
Other than that I thought it was a great start.

My husband and I both enjoyed last night's episode and will be watching again next week. I especially loved Henry.

If it goes the way of lost I will start doing that.
I feel so shallow saying this but was it just me or did anyone else think the wicked queen actually was more beautiful than Snow White, especially in their modern incarnations?

I enjoyed it... I don't think they could really do it without the flashbacks (unlike Pan Am, which uses kind of confusing flashbacking) and I didn't find it distracting.
My thoughts... I was intrigued, and look forward to seeing more. It didn't blow me away, and I found the 'fairy tale' parts a little modern in the dialogue, but I am looking forward to seeing how things work out.
I have to admit to being the teensiest bit disappointed that this is 'fairy tale land' as seen by Disney (Jiminy Cricket? Really?)
One big question... how are they going to deal with the fact that no one, apparently, gets out of Storybrooke? _________________ Visit my blog for the latest!

I hear you. I thought that kind of strange too. When you think about it, many fairy tales are quite tragic. The Little Mermaid in particular. I remember being horrified when I was young and read the 'real' ending - then did some of my best acting during the death scenes on our stage during the plays I wrote, directed and starred in along with my two younger sisters for our parents.
I thought it good enough that I'm looking forward to seeing more - but please - no more Jiminy Cricket. I did like what they did with the Rumplestiltskin character though. |

I like this show, but if you are looking for something that goes along with some of the darker aspects of fairy tales and mythology . . . not the Disney conceptions, try NBCs Grimm. It's pretty good. _________________ "I do not want people to be very agreeable, as it saves me the trouble of liking them a great deal." - Jane Austen

I like them both, but I do feel that Once Upon A Time would have been better on HBO. Still, I am enjoying both shows and look forward to them. _________________ "As you wish"
