Hope Tarr is offering Vanquished for free from 9/12-9/26.
This book got a B+ when it was first released. It is a novel of a photographer and a suffragrette in Victorian London. |

At B&N and Amazon, not at Kobo so far. _________________ "I say, don't read the classics -- try to discover your own classics; every life has its own." -- Rudolf Flesch, _How to Make Sense_ |

It's really helpful to say *where* the book is being offered.... we don't all have the same ereader. _________________ "I say, don't read the classics -- try to discover your own classics; every life has its own." -- Rudolf Flesch, _How to Make Sense_ |

Thanks Minerva for this tip!
Willaful, I found it on Tarr's website. She advises that BN and Amazon will have it starting tomorrow 12th. |

Harlequin is having a sale where if you spend at least $20 you get $10 off and the coupon code is reusable. I went a little crazy with the Harlequin Treasury titles
It's good for print books, too.

Shannon Mckenna's McCloud Brothers Bundle: Fade to Midnight, Behind Closed Doors, Standing in the Shadows, Out of Control, Edge of Midnight, Extreme Danger & Ultimate Weapon - Kindle Edition $30.39 for 7 books ($4.34 each)
I've liked some of her books but not all of them so I'm not sure if I'm going to buy them. I think I have to go back and read the blurbs to see if it's worth it for me. |

The Mysteries of Udolpho by Radcliff and The Third Heiress by Brenda Joyce are free at BN.com. They don't appear as free if you look them up by book name or author, though. You have to go to Nook Books, Romance, See all, and then show from low price to high. If you set it up to see 100 books per page, they appear on the 2nd page.
They certainly make you work for it! |

I'm in the middle of this right now and loving it--one of her early books and light on the sensuality, but great characters and a nice, simple, well-written story.
I've also finished Conor's Way by Guhrke and Vanquished by Hope Tarr and enjoyed them both. Hooray that we can find good reads and don't have to pay a ridiculous $12.99 or whatnot for them. _________________ For the first time in her life, she saw exactly what she’d thrown away when she decided to have him by means fair or foul……that she’d not saved him but wronged him by consigning to him all the ability of a box turtle to make his own choices. ~Gigi |

The English Witch, the follow-up to Isabella, is $2.99. I liked it much more. _________________ "I say, don't read the classics -- try to discover your own classics; every life has its own." -- Rudolf Flesch, _How to Make Sense_ |
