Barbara Samuel/Ruth Wind bargain backlist e-books:

Three have been out for a few months but three were just added.

Medievals: Bed Of Spices, Heart Of A Knight
Georgians: The Black Angel, Lucien's Fall, Night of Fire
Contemporary: In The Midnight Rain

All the historicals are now just $.99 on B&N and Amazon with the other just $2.99. I've read 4 of these, all wonderful. In The Midnight Rain is one of my top contemporaries and Bed Of Spices is one of the most unusual and compelling medievals (German setting, Jewish hero)

Argh. I bought an Amazon Gift Card at CVS so I could get Mask of Night; ( don't want to use credit cards right now) and now I'm going crazy downloading other Kindle books! Twisted Evil

But Bed of Spices sounds so GOOD! And it's only $.99! And I haven't been able to find it in the UBS!

Oh, well. I've still got a balance left.

I own most of the Samuels/Wind titles already, but I've really been enjoying the books she is currently writing as Barbara O'Neal.

For those of you who are not in the US and/or who prefer books with no DRM, you can also find these books here:
http://www.smashwords.com/profile/view/awriterafoot?ref=awriterafoot

Very excited and hoping more authors start converting their backlist into ebooks.

The Bronze Horseman with Bonus Material by Paullina Simons is currently $1.99. It's a pre-order and available on April 12.

Available at: Amazon & B&N (probably at Sony & Kobo as well)

----------------------------------------------------

I changed the topic heading to be more inclusive so I and others can add any bargains without making new topics for each.

This is absolutely terrific! Although I love my UBS, it is still subject to the demands of the market and so doesn't often carry these older books. I've bought used books online and ordered older books through inter-library loan but being able to get my own copy AND have the author benefit is the best of all worlds, imho.

Thank you, PWNN! Those are an interesting variety of free books. Is there somewhere in particular that you find the listings for them? I've seen the Kindle info on the Amazon boards, but I just got a new nook and I'm not sure where to get similar information for it. Thanks for any advice you have!

The best site I have found is Books on the Knob

www.blog.booksontheknob.org

Check frequently because many of the offers are time limited. It also lists books available on kobo which you can sideload to your nook.

You can also check the Deals Freebies and Resources forum at MobileRead. http://www.mobileread.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=26

Even if the thread title states Kindle, they post in the thread if/when it's available at B&N, Sony, Kobo, Smashwords, etc.

Erotic Romance/Contemporary

The first in a new erotic romance series, Backstage Pass is a sizzling mix of sex, love, and rock n’ roll

It’s been months since Brian Sinclair, lead guitarist for the famous rock band, Sinners, composed anything. Unable to write the music that once flowed so naturally, Brian is lost without his musical mojo. But when sexy psychology professor Myrna Evans comes on tour to study groupie mentality, Brian may have found the spark he needs to reignite his musical genius. When lust turns to love, will Brian be able to convince Myrna that what they have is more than just a fling, and that now that he’s found his heart’s muse, he doesn’t want to live without her?

Cottage by the Sea by Ciji Ware
Sourcebooks
Time Travel

One woman, one man, one shared fate…

A remote cottage on the wild coast of Cornwall sounded to Blythe Barton Stowe like the perfect escape from the pain and humiliation of recent events in her Hollywood life. But soon she seems to be reliving a centuries-old tragedy, and the handsome owner of the shabby manor house on the hill appears vitally entwined in her destiny. As they unearth one shocking family secret after another, Blythe is forced to conclude that her intriguing neighbor is more than just an impecunious British gentleman bent on saving his ancestral home. And the impeccably honorable Lucas Teague begins to see Blythe as a lifeline in an otherwise bleak existence.

But is the unbridled attraction they’re experiencing a dangerous distraction, or could it be strong enough to transcend the insurmountable complexities of time and place…?

B&N, Sony,

50 Ways to Hex Your Lover by Linda Wisdom
Sourcebooks

Jazz can’t decide whether to scorch him with a fireball or jump into bed with him.

Jasmine Tremaine, a witch who can’t stay out of trouble. Nikolai Gregorivich, a drop-dead gorgeous vampire cop on the trail of a serial killer.

The sizzling love affair between Jazz and Nick has been off-again, on-again—for about 300 years. Mostly off, lately. But now Nick needs Jazz’s help, and while Jazz and Nick try to figure out their own hearts and resist their ever-increasing attraction, they must steer clear of a maniacal killer with super-supernatural powers. They are surrounded by a hilarious cast of oddball paranormal characters, including Irma, the chain-smoking ghost who haunts Jazz’s sports car, Dweezil, her ghoul of a boss, and Fluff and Puff, a pair of bunny slippers with sharp teeth and short tempers (watch your ankles)!

Thicker than Blood by C.J. Darlington
Tyndale House
Christian /Contemporary

Christy Williams finally has her life on track. She’s putting her past behind her and working hard to build a career as an antiquarian book buyer. But things begin to unravel when a stolen Hemingway first edition is found in her possession, framing her for a crime she didn’t commit. With no one to turn to, she yearns for her estranged younger sister, May, whom she abandoned after their parents’ untimely deaths. Soon, Christy’s fleeing from her shattered dreams, her ex-boyfriend, and God. Could May’s Triple Cross Ranch be the safe haven she’s searching for? Will the sisters realize that each possesses what the other desperately needs before it’s too late? A stunning debut from the latest Christian Writers Guild winner.

Amazon doesn't seem to have switched to the sale price yet (and always seem to be a bit behind with Sourcebook sales) but should be up later today.

thank you so much. I just read The Black Angel and have Luciens Fall and Bd of Spices on my Kindle. Do you know if Black Angel and Luciens Fall are her only two St. Ives books?
