Two old school classics by Kathleen Woodiwiss may be to your liking:
The Flame and the Flower is set in the year 1800, starts in London but ends in South Carolina.
Shanna is set earlier in the 1750/60's. Starts in London, then to the Carribean and finally ends in Virginia Colony.

Nobody's Angel by Karen Robards is set during the Colonial Period (specifically 1769) in the Carolina Colony.
