I'm one of those weird people who actually reads copyright pages, which is how I know at least one copyright page of hers lists Jennifer Crusie as Jennifer Cruise...Tom's wife? Wishful thinking? Don't know.
But yesterday this is what I read in the front of a Putnam book: Please do not participate in or encourage piracy of copyrighted materials in violation of the author's rights.
And this is what I thought immediately afterward: So you want me to participate in or encourage piracy of copyrighted materials in support of the author's rights?
So very wrong of me.
