I'm so impressed by Christina Applegate's courage; she has openly talked about her decision to have a double mastectomy in the wake of learning that she had breast cancer. To make the courageous and difficult decision, as thousands of women have... wow, impressive. But then to not only openly speak of it, but with such grace and good humor, and use her story to help other women... I'm just speechless with admiration.
Here's the story: http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080819/ap_en_tv/people_christina_applegate

| I think she'll give many women a lot of courage. I mean, if Christine Applegate can make it through, young, beautiful and funny, it puts another face on breast cancer. I've always loved her humor...love her new show too, but I really admire her now. I hope the best for her. |

I was surprised she had a double mastectomy but after reading the story she obviously made an educated decision.
I agree that she's quite the impressive spokeswoman and an inspiration. _________________ My Shelfari Shelf: http://www.shelfari.com/o1518275077 |
