| I liked it even better than the stage version! I thought they actually filled out the story a little more, and Meryl Streep was great. Everyone in the theater was singing along. I felt so happy at the end of the movie! |

I just saw the movie today and absolutely LOVED it! Although I had never seen the stage play I had heard about how much fun everyone had when they did see it.
I thought the casting was brilliant. I knew Meryl Streep could sing, but "Mama Mia!" what a voice she has. And as a child of the sixties and a fan of ABBA, it was great to see 3 over-40 women in such delightful roles. Christine Baranski and Julie Walters were terrific and such a hoot! I left the theatre happy,singing ABBA songs, and wanting to dance to my car. I had heard that everyone who sees the movie wants to go to the Greek Isles. Now I understand why. What a fun movie. And I agree, don't leave before the ending credits have rolled; it was a riot.
