Speaking of Mariah Carey and "Idol," I came across the following on another message board and thought it was hilarious.

Bulgarian Idol contestant singing the great song, "Ken Lee" or "Ken Lee, tulibu dibu douchoo. Ken Lee! Ken Lee meju more".

Can you guess the song before it’s revealed? ;-)

That was hilarious. Do they have Idol all over the world? That woman judge looks oddly like Paula! That song...the old Harry Nillson (sp?) version has been covered by so many. I think Celine Dion is doing it now. It's a song that won't die.

It is on in a lot of countries, though not necessarily under the Idol franchise. For instance, the Israeli version is not licensed under Idol so it's not called Israeli Idol and the format is different. I know there are Canadian and Australian Idols and I read recently that there's also Afghan Star, which is the same concept. I imagine those are not the only countries.

I don't know, but I thought David Cook was fabulous. Who knew Billy Jean could take such a turn?

Me too. I thought he was the best for the night and then Brooke on the piano. If David Cook doesn't make it to the the last two I'll be shocked. His voice is very recordable. cheri

The birthday theme was really good. I totally agree that David's version of Billy Jean was the best. His little baby photo with the curled lip was cute too. It was great to hear them all sing well. My guess is that Chickeze or Ramiel will go this week.

I'm hoping for Ramielle. I don't normally watch the results show though, I wait and catch up on the internet. cheri

I think that last spot is a good spot to be in. If you are one of the first singers, voters might forget what you did. Let's face it...America has a short memory. Laughing I would like to see David cook go as far as he can. I remember when Chris Daughtry was voted off and was shocked at that, so anything can happen. Yes, Brooke did well on the piano and I thought she'd just play by herself all the way through. The band coming in around mid song was a little cheesey, I thought. She could have easily carried it through.

Is there nothing that can get Ramiele voted off? She went first, she did badly, and she was forgettable. How is it that she didn't even make the bottom three?

David Cook might actually be better off getting voted off late rather than winning, like Daughtry. More credibility for non-winners in some genres Very Happy .

I was shocked too that she wasn't in the bottom three. I thought for sure her last night was last night but see how that goes. Chickazee was way better than her IMO. cheri

My thoughts are that David Cook has the potential to take it all. He has the kind of voice that can do so many things and he's fun to watch too. I like Carly, but I feel David is just a skosh more talented. But you never know, do you? I was ready to write Kristy off and look how well she performed on Tuesday. As well as Jason sings, he's rather one dimensional at this point.

As of now, my top spot goes to Cook and I hope at the least he makes it far, as you hope, if it can't be to first place. In any event, I'm sure there are some distributors out there already who have an eye on him for recordings in the future.

Beats the heck out of me. I've been so ready to see the last of her, even before Kristy, Amanda, Kady, Danny, you name it. She's just too "precious," like one of those big, sad eyes kitschy "art" work pieces.

As for Chikiezie, I'm not surprised he didn't have the votes and was sent home, but he certainly didn't deserve it. He has so much more potential and the ability to interpret and sell a song which some others left in the show don't have.

I agree that both Ramiele and Kristy should've gone before him. Kristy's flag-waving and competence in singing that type of song bought her a week or two, but she just has no stage presence at all and will have to learn some before she hits the Branson, Missouri circuit.

As I mentioned, Ramiele bugs me big time. Her little girl act is nausea inducing. Is she five? Could she try and act her age, which is, at least, older than David A., I assume.

Syesha's problem is that she has a very unappealing personality that overshadows her competency as a singer. And, note I say competency. She's certainly not a bad singer but, when you come off as an entitled diva, you'd better have the pipes, stage presence, and understanding of the music to back it up.

David Cook is fun to watch. He truly seems to be having a good time (as long as he does well. Wink ) Carly, on the other hand, comes off as if she's desperate, like if she doesn't win this, her life is over.
