Looking for a couple of titles - SPOILERS

One is a mystery/romance - heroine is art dealer who is stalked. Her old flame is back from China, still bitter about their breakup. He blames her father, who is very overbearing. Heroine discovers that her father manipulated a mentally disturbed woman into murdering her (heroine's) mother.


The second is a short story I read years ago - written in the form of a letter, the (college-age) protagonist is telling his father how he was arrested for starting a snowball fight that... well, snowballed. Funny story.
