The hero of Susan Elizabeth Phillips' latest CALL ME IRRESISTIBLE was left at the altar. _________________ Manda Collins |

As does the hero in Elizabeth Hoyt's To Seduce a Sinner.
I thought one of Jennifer Ashley's heroine got dumped but that's the upcoming The Seduction of Elliot McBride. |

Laura Lee Guhrke's "Abandoned at the Altar" trilogy:
1. Wedding of the Season
2. Scandal of the Year
3. Trouble at the Wedding |

| The heroine of A Summer to Remember gets dumped in the previous book (actually, not dumped, but the groom's wife shows up). |

In Meredith Duran's Wicked Becomes You the heroine has been left at the altar twice. It's a late Victorian historical. _________________ Later that night, still 1789!

| It's not recent, so you may have read it way back when, but just in case you didn't - Justine Davis had a book called 'Left at the Altar' |

Simply Irresistible by Rachel Gibson starts with the bride running away from her wedding. It's just been released as an ebook. I remember it as a favorite and I hope it holds up on a reread. _________________ Diana |

That book is One Night for Love. I didn't like it nearly as much as I liked ASTR, but I was glad I read it because it gave me a much better sense of Lauren and her background. |

You know what's funny? I've never read ANtR because I found ONfL first, and hated Lauren so much, I didn't care about her getting a HEA. |

I know, it doesn't get mentioned as often as ASTR.

I liked it well enough but was surprised to see Lauren as a heroine as she didn't seem very nice (albeit understandably so). |

See, I read AStR first and still haven't read ONFL because I'm still bitter on Lauren's behalf. So, I guess it depends on which one you read first! _________________ Manda Collins |

I think you're right--I read ASTR first, and never was able to do more than skim ONFL. I couldn't even tell you why. And I'm a Mary Balogh addict.

| A Summer to Remember by Mary Balogh is the follow-up story with the heroine dealing with having been dumped at the alter. |
