|
|
Hi,
I enjoy reading historical romance and would love some recommendations
of books or author with similar writing style to Judith McNaught, Lisa Kleypas,
Gaelen Foley, Marsha Canham
or if there is a book you really enjoy, please recommend.
Thank you so much in advance. |

I too adore Lisa Kleypas and Marsha Canham. Other favorites of mine include:
Courtney Milan
Sherry Thomas
Jennifer Ashley's McKenzie books.
Julia Quinn (her writing feels similar to Kleypas's to me)
Barbara Samuel/Ruth Wind (I particularly loved Bed of Spices)
Caroline Linden
Julie Anne Long
Meredith Duran
Cheryl St. John (she writes really sweet books set in historical America)
Patricia Gaffney (her books have a heavy emotional impact) _________________ She is too fond of books, and it has turned her brain. -Louisa May Alcott |

Thank you for these recommendations.
Patricia Gaffney...read some of her work, yes, quite heavy in the emotion side.
The other authors, I have not heard off, I will look into them.
I have seen Julia Quinn around, but afraid to try. I'll give her a try first. |

Out of her works I thought her Bridgerton series was the best. The book order is on her website. I especially love To Sir Philip With Love.

You should go to the "If You Like" section here, as it may help you find authors like those you mention in your post. I've put the link below -- happy hunting.

I think you will really enjoy Laura Kinsale if you haven't read her. And Judith Ivory.
Fave historical romance of all time for me is The Shadow and The Star by LK.
I've really found great authors coming here and hearing recommendations. I know you will find the same with these wonderful fellow romance readers. _________________ Romance my favorite reading pastime. |
