Definitely, Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan. Google it and you won't be disappointed Better yet, watch Jodhaa Akhbar on Netflix and you'll become addicted to anything Hrithik.

I don't often "cast" the characters as I'm reading, but Richard Armitage often pops into my head when I read the basic dark haired, light eyed hero English nobleman formula description. Though Hrithik would rock the Regency hero role!

For light haired heros, I'd go with Rupert Penry-Jones.

My nominee has, alas, been deceased for over 20 years now, but it would be the German singer whose professional name was Roy Black (actually Gerd Hoellerich).
