Definitely, Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan. Google it and you won't be disappointed Better yet, watch Jodhaa Akhbar on Netflix and you'll become addicted to anything Hrithik.
I don't often "cast" the characters as I'm reading, but Richard Armitage often pops into my head when I read the basic dark haired, light eyed hero English nobleman formula description. Though Hrithik would rock the Regency hero role!
For light haired heros, I'd go with Rupert Penry-Jones. |

I've always liked "pretty" men more than "manly" ones, and these pictures show that.
Gackt (Especially for Anne Stuart's heroes since, well, at least one is based on him.)
Asagi
Mathew Baynton from Horrible Histories (complete with historical costume!)
I have a lot more pictures of Japanese men in semi-historical clothing, which I will refrain from posting. (As well as Horrible Histories.) |

I actually don't imagine real people like actors or models as fictional characters in books I am reading. But in the spirit of this thread here is a pic of an actor I find very attractive (and not just because he plays a character named Jaime on a TV series, hee)
Danish actor Nikolaj Coster-Waldau. |

Wow ladies! Love all the pics. I have to say, though, that Hopeless_Romantic's choice was pretty nice, LOL! I normally go for tall, dark and handsome myself. With the exception of Hank (my avatar) who is tall, blond and handsome, lol. _________________ Love's Gamble- A Hank Lawson from Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman Fanfiction Romance Novel

My nominee has, alas, been deceased for over 20 years now, but it would be the German singer whose professional name was Roy Black (actually Gerd Hoellerich).
I don't know how to insert a picture here, but you can find dozens upon dozens of Youtube sites dedicated to him. The following one has a lot of photos from the 1960s through 1991.

My top romance hero model is Eduardo Verastegui. He is a mexican actor, singer and model. The most beautiful man in the world!

Ooh, KataO. Eduardo is swarthy and delightful. Rodrigo Santoro is still my number one, but I can see myself substituting Eduardo from time to time. _________________ She is too fond of books, and it has turned her brain. -Louisa May Alcott |

I don't know if he has been in any movies, but he has acted in latin tv shows. He was voted amog the 50 "hottest" Hispanic.
Here he is in Jennifer Lopez's music video. "SIGH" My only complain is, that they have shaved his chest hair.

Ok, my ultimate crush is Timothy Olyphant who plays Cowboy Marshal Raylan Givens on the tv series Justified. Swoon! He would be my ultimate romance hero, as the character he plays here with the most delicious swagger.

Now, he is very attractive. I'm going to have to start watching the show just to see him in motion

Ok, well my number one heartthrob is William Shockley back when he played Hank Lawson on Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman.
But I found these pictures of Gareth Gates and think they deserve an honorable mention.
