OK so I read all of Sandra Browns books and alot of Linda Howard books, that being said I am looking for a new author who writes romantice suspence. I tend to gravitate towards the hotter books.
Also looking for a hot historical circa London 1800 ish......I have some days when I want to read a little less mayhem and a hot Duke is a no brainer.
Thanks in advance! _________________ I was nauseous and tingly all over. I was either in love or I had smallpox.

A couple of suggestions for you:
for Romantic Suspense,
I like Pamela Clare's I-team series featuring women print journalists in Denver. Each book features a different H/h. They are all slightly related and can be read separately, but are enjoyable if read in order, since the characters come from the same newsroom.
Also, you might try using the Power Search under the Reviews heading to narrow your book search to what you are looking for. Its a great tool. I've been happy with almost any B+ rating or above I've selected from there.
love that Woody Allen quote! |

| Ditto with all authors mentioned, especially Pamela Clare. Another couple you might like are Tara Janzen and Lisa Marie Rice |

I second Lisa Marie Rice, especially her Midnight books. I especially love "Midnight Man" and "Midnight Angel." As you probably know, you can download the first chapter at Amazon on your computer or Kindle. If you like that, you'd like the books.
Tara Janzen's early books are also excellent. |

I'm also a fan of Sandra Brown and Linda Howard (although I do prefer some of her earlier books to the ones that she's bringing out now).
When searching for new romantic suspense authors a few years ago, I came across Kat Martin and Shannon McKenna. I've now read quite a lot of books by both ladies and I'd definitely recommend them. |

I liked the Lisa Marie Rice series, but be warned that they verge on erotic. Total sex-driven alpha guy stuff.
I have been really enjoying Catherine Mann's Wingman Warriors series. Even though they are about Air Force people, and I was in the Navy. Drat. I feel like a traitor. Warning, though--you should read them in order to really appreciate the characters. They are technically stand-alone, but you'll enjoy them more if you read in series order:

1800ish hot Duke. That would be "Devil's Bride" by Stephanie Laurens.
The Compass Club series by Jo Goodman would also fit the bill. The hot Duke is the 4th book.
I also enjoyed "Mad About the Duke" by Elizabeth Boyle.
