I remember that there was a set of saddlebags or some other object where the hero and heroine exchanged letters to each other across time.
They thought hard about the other person and their home place and could visit somehow... in dreams?
At the end, there was a fire in the heroine's building and she was able to time-travel to safety and the hero in the end. |
