|

I have trouble remembering the title of the following book:
A young woman is in an abbey. The mother superior tells her she has to clean up a warrior who may be dying from his wounds. The heroine grumbles all the way but goes to see him. When she sees the warrior she recognizes him. She tries to flee but he grabs her. He asks something like, "what are you doing here", meaning she is not a virgin. He would know since they had been together. He says he is going to kill her if it's the last thing he does to avenge his clan that she may have betrayed. She is obviously in love with this guy and only trying to protect him by being in the abbey. I'm sure it's all a big misunderstanding.
I hope you can help.
Thank you very much in advance.

I know of a couple of possibilities:
A Knight to Remember, by Christina Dodd
His Power Matched her Pride
Fallen from grace and sheltered in a convent, Lady Edlyn is a skilled herbalist forced to secretly tend the wounds of Hugh de Florisoun. A knight renowned for his prowess on the battlefield and in the bedchamber, Hugh is a man who is no stranger to Edlyn's heart.
Using the healing magic of herbs and the power of remembered love, Edlyn saves the warrior life. Now Hugh claims this brazen beauty for his own. But Edlyn, cynical in the ways of men, denies him—even as her flesh burns with unaccustomed fire. Passion becomes their battleground with no mercy given...in a bold age when danger and desire go hand in hand.
and another book, Together, is an anthology of short novellas. The author is Linda Lael Miller. One of the novellas is called "IN ALL SEASONS"
IN ALL SEASONS takes place in medieval times where two young hearts were torn apart by betrayal. A few years later the young couple meet again, one deathly ill and the other devoted to the church. By working through their differences, they find their love never truly died. |
