I was about to say that! I really enjoyed the early Georgian settings of "At Your Pleasure" (I don't think I've read a romance set in that time period ever before). I wish Ms Duran continued exploring less overused settings in her books. |
Just to let you guys know -- I've read both That Scandalous Summer and the prequel novella, Your Wicked Heart, and they are both set in 1885 (Late Victorian era). I have no idea why the publisher's blurb on Amazon calls That Scandalous Summer a Regency. The heroine of That Scandalous Summer is Elizabeth, the professional beauty who was the hero's friend in Bound by Your Touch, and Lydia and Sanburne make an appearance in it. So, definitely a Victorian, despite the misleading blurb. _________________ I also post elsewhere as Janine or Janine Ballard |

I'm very excited about Celeste Bradley's WHEN SHE SAID I DO because it's Ren's story.
If you read her spies series, he was the one who was kidnapped and tortured and in a coma for a while. It's been years, but the fact that I still remember him from that long ago is a testament to that series' staying power. I've read a ton of books since then. _________________ Manda Collins |

Good to know! I guess I prefer Victorian to Regency although it's quite common too.
I don't remember Bound by Your Touch at All even though I remember the Duke of Shadows quite well (along with Private Arrangements, it must be the best debut novel I've read). |

The Duchess War has been pushed back to mid-November. Milan self-publishes, so that's not a final date.
Striking Distance is now listed as a May release on Clare's website and May 7th on Amazon. She tweeted yesterday that she's working on chapter 5, so I hope she'll be able to meet her deadline. |

I can't wait for that one. FYI, the ebook for the first book in the series, Daughter of Smoke and Bone, is on sale for $2.99 today. _________________ I also post elsewhere as Janine or Janine Ballard |

| Additionally, I'd like to read Katya's World by Jonathan L. Howard (November 2012). It's SciFi YA with a girl as a main character, without romance (yet), but I'm intrigued by the setting. |

0ops - sorry! I completely missed this heading, and started another one.
I am sitting here sort of in a reading funk. It is not that I don't have several things to read, and I have no indication that the books won't be good, I just not feeling any excitement about them.
Maybe that is why I am focusing on what is going to be released. _________________ Gone to Rainbow Bridge - Lily 2000-2011 |

I was puzzled also by the weird posting at B&N and Amazon, so, I sent Ms Guhrke an email. She responded: The title has been changed. It's now called, WHEN THE MARQUESS MET HIS MATCH
and it will be out next fall. If you want more info, you can check out the

I've been wondering, too.
It's Jonathan according to author's website. Follow the link for more details:

Thanks but LLG's web page has had this posting for some time, still including "comming" (sic)--in the headline. Besides calling HC, I emailed Amazon at the same time. Apparently no one including the publisher, the booksellers nor the author cared about a bogus listing, up to and including the sale date and now beyond. Since they couldn't be bothered, follow up on this author is now off my list.
Thank you for your kindness in following up, though. |
