| I enjoyed the A & E series about Sheriff Walt Longmire of Wyoming, so I sought out the books. The first is The Cold Dish. I liked them and the books are nothing like the tv series...as usual (B for the mysteries as a whole). Ironically, my favorite book is Kindness Goes Unpunished which is set in Philadelphia. |

For the first time I actually liked the show as well as the books. I usually don't watch shows that are based on the books I read b/c they fall so far short.
For example, I am absolutely appalled and flabbergasted by the idea of Tom Cruise playing Jack Reacher in Lee Child's series. Wouldn't see that if it was free. But I liked the actor who played Walt Longmire. |

Oh excellent. Love that show. Without a recommendation, I would never have read the books, either. |
