I'm up for anything by Robyn Carr. I liked your review of the book (blanking out on title/author) set by the ocean, altho there seems to be a LOT to remember from previous books. I'll read the Kleypas but from the library: her last one was not a hit w/me. Is there a new Roberts/Robb -- I'm always going to read them.
The big name historical authors aren't capturing my interest as much as some of the just under the top tier group -- like Miranda Neville. She has a book out this fall called The Importance of Being Wicked. It comes out November 27th.
p.s. Hi Leigh!! |

Hey, Janet
I will read the Kleypas from the library too. . She is one of those authors that I like okay - probably because I tend to like contemporary books more than historicals. Another reader posted the excerpt which sounded okay.
I still pretty much just read historicals of authors I know I like such as Chase and James. I haven't tried any by Neville . .
I'm sort of disappointed that Carr doesn't have a stand-alone but she has kept me interested in Virgin River. _________________ Gone to Rainbow Bridge - Lily 2000-2011 |

I'm looking forward to:
Shadow Woman - Linda Howard [I love her older books so I hope this is along the same line]
Running Wild- Linda Howard/Linda Jones [I've never read their other collaborations and I'm not really a fan of cowboy stories but since this is a contemporary, I'll give it a try]
The Perfect Hope- Nora Roberts [Ryder is the only character in her Boonsboro series I was interested in, and this is his story so I'm hoping this is a good one]
Nora also has another book coming out next year - emotionally wounded hero gets helped by the heroine- and looking forward to that.
I generally enjoy Sarah Mayberry but after reading the blurb for Suddenly You, I'll probably skip that and wait for her next one. |

Is Linda Howard's Shadow Woman a new book or a re-issue of an old one?
And I am especially looking forward to the new Megan Hart coming in September:
