| I have been seeing the term trope used on the message boards this summer and after looking it up, I'm still not sure what it means. Can anyone explain trope? Thks. |

I'm getting this straight from good ole Webster:
trope
b : a common or overused theme or device : cliché <the usual horror movie tropes>
A good example in romance would be the secret baby plot.
