Well, with Fergie as their mother and Randy Andy as their father, screwed up dress sense is probably the least of their issues... _________________ "Socialism to help sick people - bad.

Late to the party, but enjoyed watching all the coverage. As far as the main topics go:
a) Loved Kate's dress--hope it brings styles back from the see-through bodices that are popular now a days. Classy, very Princess Grace-like.
b)The Hat. I think it was very cutting edge fashion, which is not always attractive. She did succeed in making headlines. Her poor sister's dress, though--*shudder* Not a good choice.
c) Harry is very handsome, but I think he's a real stinker. I'm not a fan of "real" rakes--I'll save them for my novels, thank you! _________________ For the first time in her life, she saw exactly what she’d thrown away when she decided to have him by means fair or foul……that she’d not saved him but wronged him by consigning to him all the ability of a box turtle to make his own choices. ~Gigi |

*swoon* I have such a crush on Harry--and I don't typically like rakes in my books! I just hope he doesn't marry his current girlfriend. I do hate to judge, but she seems rather a mess. |

Hopefully he'll finish sewing his wild oats soon and find a steady, smart girl. My daughter would be first in line--she thinks him a doll. He doesn't really have any reason to reform, though--second sons get to have all the perks and not as much responsibility. _________________ For the first time in her life, she saw exactly what she’d thrown away when she decided to have him by means fair or foul……that she’d not saved him but wronged him by consigning to him all the ability of a box turtle to make his own choices. ~Gigi |

I am not interested at all. I'm avoiding coverage but among the stuff I haven't been able to avoid I was most interested in the pic of Rowan Atkinson attending all spiffy in his wedding duds.
I must have been inoculated during the Diana wedding. I was in college and everyone was so excited and I was dismayed. They all thought it was so romantic but to me she looked like a wide eyed romantic girl who believed she was living a fairy tale when she was basically taking a lifelong political job by marrying a man twice her age who barely knew her and had been sleeping around Europe for decades. As soon as I heard she had to have medical testing to prove she was still a virgin, I was out. I was happier to hear about her divorce.
Presumably a lot is different with these two, but I still can't drum up any interest.
Although it was fun laughing at Posh's silly hat and torture chamber shoes. No wonder she always looks so unhappy. _________________ Justin managed to look superior and bored and disbelieving all at once. No mean feat for a man who'd just fallen from a tree. |

I loved her dress. Very understated and Grace Kelly-like. I would like to see the strapless styles go away. Loved Pippa's dress and entire look as well. So pretty.
Harry...well, his look down the aisle at Kate was priceless. And then he said to his brother..."Wait till you see her." Ah...what a guy.
I loved the looks the bride and groom exchanged with one another. Very sweet and I would like to think they are in love. _________________ "As you wish"

Awww...I loved my strapless dress (which surprised the heck out of me, because strapless is totally not my style). Of course, I also wasn't marrying royalty, so I really didn't have to worry about tongues wagging or being judged for my choice.
But I would like it if her dress inspired the return of styles other than just the strapless. I think her dress was sexy because it was so well fitted, and yet there was NOTHING vulgar about it. Pippa's dress was far more typically modern and slinky. |

Have you seen the front pages of the papers today? Most have the balcony kiss, and on the bottom left-hand corner is one of the little bridesmaids looking grumpy and covering her ears. Sweet! _________________ My Reading Journal

Well, apparently Kate told William not to turn round to look at her - hence the cheeky peek by Harry .
Nah, the bride and groom were cute - I loved the little looks they gave each other through the ceremony and how they were obviously both so nervous.
As for Harry, I just think he's a bit of an arse. Anyone who dresses as a Nazi to a costume party needs several thousand points taken off in good judgement at least. And then calling fellow soldiers "Paki" and "raghead"... I suppose we do need a royal to keep up the scandals and gaffes for the tabloids and our general entertainment after Prince Phillip and Prince Andrew pass on.

Priceless! You know that she's going to be haunted by that pic forever after! _________________ "Socialism to help sick people - bad.

Oh God, I would LOVE him to marry Chelsy! Or some stripper from Vegas or something. That would be so much fun to imagine him introducing her to the Queen and the rest of the royals ... _________________ "Socialism to help sick people - bad.

As to Diana's wedding dress, I remember thinking it was sooo beautiful (and I was NOT 8, but a full grown woman) then. Now, I wonder what drug I was on (and didn't know about). Ah, how fashion clouds our eyes.
I liked Kate's dress very much. Wouldn't it be nice if it actually influenced fashion to move away from its present "can you, too look like a skank" look ?
Loved Kate's mother's outfit.
Where have Princess Beatrice and her sister grown up that they have ABSOLUTELY no fashion sense? To be nasty, I think they inherited too much from their mother, for whom I feel sorry. Do they not listen to advice, or do they just not get it?
As to Harry, do people speculate that he really isn't Charles's? I think he must be desperate to fit in, and I think the scandals will continue down the years. Hope I'm wrong.
It seems as if Kate and William might actually like and love each other. Let's hope so. I wonder if she really would have gotten along with Diana or would Diana have been subtly undermining and possessive? Too bad that she had to die too soon. |

Just found a clip of the aisle walk. Which is all of the wedding I've seen.

I like her dress. It has a kind of old Hollywood elegance and at least it's not strapless - as 80% of wedding gowns seem to be. _________________ Justin managed to look superior and bored and disbelieving all at once. No mean feat for a man who'd just fallen from a tree. |

I loved her dress too, elegant and feminine. Her sister Pippa looked fantastic and handled the bridemaids and page boys (who were adorable) with ease.
I truly wish Prince William and HRH Catherine every happiness.
They appear to really want to make their marriage work; they are best friends - which is a good foundation for hopefully a lasting relationship.
Sunny California - perfectly warm day....... |

I think Kate's dress was timeless as was Grace Kelly's. I think Princess Diana's was not timeless as it was definitely in tune with the 80's fashion sense of bigger and poofier is better. Kate's dress is very reminiscent of the 40's and 50's where designs were simple and classic yet still elegant. _________________ I wish I was in paradise. |
